About Us Banner Image

Hollybrook Infant School is an over-subscribed successful Infant School with an excellent reputation. It is run by a team of very dedicated and hardworking staff, committed to providing an excellent and inclusive education for all our pupils.

On 1st November 2012 Hollybrook Infant School became part of the Jefferys Education Trust; a multi academy trust formed by local schools in the Shirley area. The aim is to provide a cohesive approach to learning for all pupils aged 4 - 16 across our academies.

We believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe and secure. We aim to provide a caring, positive environment where all children develop and learn to the best of their ability.

We are keen to promote excellent learning and behaviour through high quality teaching and a curriculum which is creative, broad and challenging. We strongly believe that this is best achieved through partnership involving everyone - children, parents/carers, staff, governors and the wider community.

We are able to offer outstanding music provision for our children and regularly take part in Southampton music events. Children from Year 2 sing at the Guildhall at Christmas and this year our Year 2 Choir reached the finals and sang at the Nuffield Theatre.

Parents are actively encouraged to take a full part in their child's education and we are privileged to work in a locality where parents are very willing to support the school.

We have a dedicated Governing Body who meet regularly to discuss and make decisions about the strategic development of our school.

We are supported by an active Parent Teacher Association who successfully run social and fundraising events. They support us with events in school, for example providing tea and coffee at parents' meetings and run half-termly cookery sessions for every child in the school.

In the past year we have set up a Parent Forum.

A school council is elected and takes part in the decision making process in school.
We are proud of our school and hope you find our website informative. However, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the school.
